At Advantive, Mike will partner closely with our executives and board to define and execute high-impact M&A transactions that drive accelerated growth. He will be accountable for identifying and executing acquisitions and ensuring the long-term success of M&A through rigorous planning and execution.

Mike is joining us from Ellucian, the largest higher education ERP provider, where he led M&A to drive inorganic growth. Prior to Ellucian, Mike was VP of Strategy and Corporate Development at Blackline, where he led M&A and overall corporate strategy, and Cvent as VP of Corporate Development where he closed 12 transactions that were instrumental to growing the company by over 5x during his tenure.

Mike has also held roles at TA Associates and AGC Partners.Mike has over 20 years of experience in M&A, strategy, and integration. He has a passion for working with people across companies and functions to drive growth and improve performance.

Mike holds a B.A. degree in Economics from Harvard University.

He and his wife Elizabeth live in Palo Alto, CA. They have four kids (3 boys and 1 girl) and two labs. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling, skiing, night walks with the dogs, and watching their kids’ games. Mike is also on the board of the community basketball program and helps coach.
