Webster Industries, a national manufacturer and supplier of trash bags and food packaging solutions, will deploy WinSPC software across its two Montgomery, Alabama facilities to reduce scrap and rework while increasing production up-time. Webster plans to eventually extend the solution to its Boston facility.

Webster’s team evaluated WinSPC against two other companies, but chose WinSPC for the technological fit within its current IT environment, including WinSPC support for Oracle. The evaluation team also preferred WinSPC’s administrator set up and data collection interfaces, characterizing these as intuitive and simple to use.

DataNet’s solution delivery team will be on-site to aid in the installation, configuration, training, and roll-out of WinSPC. Webster plans to implement the software using a T1, wireless WAN configuration across its two plants. DataNet engineers will train administrators, assist in the configuration of data collection, perform testing and advise on the roll-out to the shop floor. In phase two, Webster plans to migrate data from its ERP system into WinSPC and use Custom Web Reporter to generate real-time quality reports.
